Welcome! I'm Helena, a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist.
If you're looking for a therapist who offers practical, positive, and forward-thinking solutions, you've come to the right place. I specialise in helping people overcome anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, phobias and much more. Whether you're struggling with sleepless nights or the pressures of modern life, I am here to guide you toward a healthier, happier future.

What sets my approach apart is my commitment to keeping therapy focused on your present and future rather than dwelling on the past. My sessions are designed to leave you feeling better than when you walked in—each conversation is geared towards empowering you with solutions and strategies that work. You won't be reliving old wounds but building the tools you need to move forward confidently.

As someone with a background in teaching and currently studying for a Master's in Educational Psychology, I have a deep understanding of the unique pressures faced by young people today—whether it's navigating social media, academic stress, or personal growth. I work effectively with both younger clients and adults alike, helping them manage stress and build resilience.
I genuinely care about my clients and am deeply invested in seeing them thrive. My goal is always to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your challenges and leave each session feeling more empowered and ready to take on the world.

What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis to help with a wide variety of problems or issues. I work with clients to help them manage anxiety or stress, combating things such as low self-esteem or confidence. I can improve your ability to relax, increase your sports performance or your ability to speak in public.

While hypnosis may refer to the process of inducing a trance to help promote communication between the conscious and subconscious mind, hypnotherapy refers to the process of using hypnosis to achieve a specific goal or outcome.
My Approach
There are many different styles of hypnotherapy out there. I was trained as a hypnotherapist with a Solution Focused approach.
What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of ‘talking therapy’, that combines the use of psychotherapy with hypnosis. Hypnosis or ‘trance’ is a very natural, relaxing state, encouraged by using guided relaxation, where the mind can relax and then focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful. As a modern psychotherapeutic approach, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses practical, structured, and well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. Crucially, in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, we look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem).
